"I imagined the use of animals as possible symbolic and neutral backdrops in which societal parallels and ambiguities are played out through unexpected juxtapositions of embedded artefacts and embellishments. With the resulting wall-mounted sculptures I was keen to extend and celebrate a Safari-lodge curio type aesthetic while unbundling uncertain cultural marriages and muddled ideas of a collective heritage.

A bridge between high-art and low-art was fashioned. This has become a favourite stomping ground of mine."
